If you traveling by plane to come here, you have to come to the nearest airport in Indore (just 40 kilometers away from Dewas). And if you are planning to come here by bus or train, you can easily arrive here by a number of trains and buses available.

Top places to visit in Dewas

Chamunda Tekri

This is the most visited temple of Dewas. Situated at 300 feet above the ground. This tekri is having two shrines, first is the Choti Mata (Chamunda Mata) and second is the Badi Mata (Tulja Bhavani Mata) both believed to be sisters protecting the city from any mishap.

Mahakaleshwar Bilawali Temple

Dewas is the city of devotees, another place which you should not miss is the Lord Shiva temple called Mahakaleshwar Bilwali Temple. The main attraction of this temple is the “Shivalinga”. It is believed that the size of the Shivalinga increases year by year. This place is decorated with flowers on the occasion of “Shiva Ratri.”

Kela Devi Temple

Dewas has the biggest Kela Devi temple In the Madhya Pradesh. It’s a mesmerising marble temple made by a South Indian architect in ancient times. Every year, on the occasion of “Chaitra Navratri”, a big flea market is organized for the celebration.

Shri ManiBhadra Veer Temple

This is a chariot shaped Jain pilgrim which was built in the year 1991 by Shri Veer Ratna Vijayji Maharaj. This place is not just a temple, it is having restrooms, teaching room and meal area for the devotees.

Grace Church

The Grace Church is a heritage landmark of Dewas which was built in the year 1928 by Professor J.W Johary. For building this church, Maharaja Malhar Rao Panwar granted to build the church and also supported Christian financially for the development.
